Jeremy Mason

Jeremy Mason, who works as a freelance lecturer and consultant, is a British commercial lawyer with international experience in developing and maintaining contractual as well as legal functions for multinational manufacturing and trading Groups in Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

He obtained his MA in Law at Cambridge University before qualifying as a barrister at the Middle Temple, London.

After a period of practice as a barrister in London he worked successively as: Company Secretary for Cossor Electronics Limited, UK, a subsidiary of Raytheon Company, USA; Legal Manager, Saudi Arabia for YBA Kanoo, a trading company; then in a variety of positions in The Netherlands, UK and Belgium for Rockwell Automation Company, USA. He worked subsequently as a consultant to Siemens Enterprise Communications, Belgium. 

He has wide experience in many areas of commercial law with emphasis on international contracts: in particular major capital supply contracts, sales representative, distributor as well as consultancy agreements, export control, anti-boycott regulations, bank guarantees, leases, mergers and acquisitions. 

Now resident in Germany he lectures on the Foreign Law Programme at Münster University as well as lecturing on English Law at the Rechtsanwaltskammer (Bar Association), Hamm and International Contracting for the Master of Customs Administration Programme. In addition he acts as a consultant on international contracts.
